About
Welcome to Something Chewie. My name is Steve and I’ll be your proverbial host for the next <insert length time of time you plan to stay>! I hope to bring you a lot of different and rare artists to your attention so you can enjoy listening to some new music. I’m stuck in an eternal quest for searching for new music that tickles me just in the right spot, and along my journey when I find something of interest, what better than to tell the world? And here we are, with my brand new MP3 blog.
Information about me
I’m currently a third year student at University of Sheffield, UK studying Software Engineering and someday hoping to take that some place! I’m somewhat obsessed with music and the internet, and ergo I’ve ended up with this blog. Around the net, I’m known as alsotop or totally49, and you can usually find me under those aliases on several websites. You can email me at steve@dot-totally.co.uk if you feel so inclined. I definitely wouldn’t mind something to break up the monotony of my usual inbox: spam and newsletters and the occasional “do this!!!”
Something Chewie?
Chewie rocks. Now leave him alone!
Get in touch
If you’d like to get in touch with me, suggest some music I should post or just want to generally talk with me, you can use either my email address or Windows Live Messenger (that’s MSN to us folk who’ve been around) on the same address, steve@dot-totally.co.uk.
Send me music!?
Feel absolutely free to send me MP3s or even CDs if you think you fit the bill for the music taste on the website and want to be featured! Absolutely any CD I receive will be guaranteed a post on the website – mostly due to the admiration of the work you went through to try and get your music out there! But do remember: if you do plan on sending CDs, I am a resident of UK, and I do not live in the USA. But other than that: go for it! Email me and I’ll get back to you with details!
Legalities
Posting MP3s is legally ambiguous, I will accept! However, it is my firm belief if I’m posting songs, I’m providing a new way for artists to be discovered by potential listeners (and henceforth potential buyers!). I only post one MP3 at a time to provide a “sampler” of the music. Still, if you take exception to this and you do not want your song to be available on my website, please get in touch with me, and I will remove it with no fuss. Would’ve been cool to keep it though!
Thanks!
