Elva Snow – Pavement Kisses

When I completed my exams this Tuesday past, I decided to buy myself a gift for all the thanks I obviously deserve. You could do the same too, you know – giving them to me, I mean! Ahum, anyway, “Elva Snow” was the album I purchased. I first heard Australian-born Scott Matthew’s (not to be confused with the British Scott Matthews) voice in Yoko Kanno’s soundtrack to Stand Alone Complex. His voice is really unique, and I absolutely adore it. When I discovered he teamed up with ex-Morrisey member Spencer Corbin to produce an an album with his vocals and lyric-writing – well, I was sold. And I knew I made the right choice going for it. This is the first track on the admittedly small 8-track album, “Pavement Kisses”. You can definitely expect to hear more of Scott Matthew’s work later on in the life of Something Chewie, I can promise you!
