Gatsbys American Dream – Badlands

I’m reliably informed that this band drew inspiration for their name from F Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. And who am I to doubt the collective masses of Wikipedia contributors? This band highlights exactly the reason I hate genres – because the best of artists, the aural-utopian of music, just simply cannot be restricted to several genres, which are so poorly defined in any case! The band members obviously take a lot of inspiration from their literature, with this entire concept album drawing from Volcano-related stories, hence “Gatsbys American Dream and the Volcano”. Enjoy “Badlands”!
