Kristofer Åström - Just a Little Insane

When I first heard Kristofer’s music, I almost thought I was listening to Ally Kerr again - today’s track has the same kind of feel - a sort of folky/country pop/rock mix. Swedish born singer-songwriter Kristofer Åström has had over 8 albums/EPs since 1998 (plus part of the band “Fireside”). His latest album, “RainawayTown”, was released just this year and features a splendid collection of music, this time with a full band to back him up. I actually heard about him from one of the postings on Jimmy Eat World’s band blog - and I’ll take anything new and good I can get! Here’s “Just a Little Insane”:

Kane are a southern rock band formed back in 1998 in Los Angeles. In 2000, they put together all they could and released their first album, self-titled, independently. After working their way up, and many tours receiving rave reviews, they released their second album four years later, “Live in London”, where today’s track originates from. A lot of atmosphere comes out of the song, so I can only imagine live performances must be quite stellar. Now signed with a label, they are working on their first studio album, due out later this year. Here’s “The Chase”, which is, as they describe, the first song they ever wrote.
