ElfonÃa – … de los libros del tiempo
3rd September, 2007 by Chewbacca
ElfonÃa – an experiment rock band from Mexico starring the awesome voice (and violin playing) of Marcela Bovio, has had two albums to date. Their second, and presumably last (unfortunately), “This Sonic Landscape” features a mix of progressive rock with hints of gothic metal mixed with some very atmospheric guitar tracks. This is one of the gentler tracks on the album, but it soon comes full swing to show of the band’s prowess – here is today’s music: “… de los libros del tiempo” by “ElfonÃa”:
- Official Website
- ElfonÃa on MySpace
- Buy the album through Amazon.co.uk
– unfortunately I cannot find a UK online store with the album in stock. It’s seemingly quite a rarity, so grab it wherever you can! It is still available from the official website, but with delivery charges.
Robert Rodriguez happens to be a very talented man indeed. Not quite content with writing, filming, producing his movies, he’s also a talented singer and guitar-player, and started a band, Chingón (Mexican for Badass!) originally to produce music for Once Upon A Time In Mexico. You will also find his music in Kill Bill and the soon to be released (in the UK, anyway) Grindhouse double feature with Quentin Tarantino. Like the name, the music certainly does give a kick: “Bajo sexto” (Six Below) is a rocking tune.
