After 100 songs, I’m just taking a small hiatus from updating mostly daily (with a few small exceptions) whilst my tiredness takes over. Once recuperated, we’ll be back in action with new music and new tastes to satiate your musical needs! Sorry for not updating soon enough – just been absolutely exhausted. For now, I hope you’ll enjoy some of our greatest hits of the previous three months:
So, the inner demon hath been defeated! Today marks the first monthly anniversary of Something Chewie – suffice to say I’m feeling a little bit chuffed with myself. It may be only a month, but I made it, with a track a day of some awesome music – I hope you will agree! Where does the site go now? Hopefully onwards and upwards! For the most part, I think the formula seems to be working. I’ve enjoyed selecting new music to write about and show to the world, and hopefully you’ve been listening. For as much as I can, I’m going to try and continue to update once a day – although I admit there may be times where this may be difficult. But the plan is set to cruise onwards, and hopefully this can only lead to new and exciting places. I hope you have enjoyed the ride so far!
In other news, a new column is starting on Something Chewie – or at least we’re trying it out. My good rocking friend Kevin is going to start writing about some new and upcoming bands, with more of an independent/label-less twist. You’ll see the first entry a little later tonight. We haven’t decided on whether this’ll be a scheduled thing – it’s more of an experiment at the moment. Hopefully you’ll enjoy it as a supplement to the Something Chewie tracks.
Thanks to everyone who’s commented (and criticised) my new venture in Something Chewie. I’ve had some really nice comments from everyone, that really keeps me motivated! Keep ‘em coming! So, here goes nothing – onwards and upwards!
Welcome to Something Chewie! In the coming days, weeks and months, I hope to provide your ears something to chew on! (Although admittedly I do realise the ability to chew doesn’t usually stem from the ears) As often as I can, I plan to post an MP3 of some rather rare artists from an incredibly eclectic different mix – we’re not necessarily stuck in the single genre here. From the abnormal to the zany, maybe, from time to time, you might find some good music to listen to; and then you can use this as a tool to find new music! Well, sit back, tighten your seatbelt, put the pedal to the metal and let’s go!
