Tomoyasu Hotei – Howling
17th May, 2007 by Chewbacca
If you know of Hotei’s work, it’s most likely through Kill Bill. Quentin Tarantino is quite a fan of picking a wide range of quite iconic music for his films, and for Kill Bill, he chose Hotei’s “Battle without Honor or Humanity.” But of course, that’s not the only thing he’s done. Subtracting away from popular western culture, he is a famous guitarist and also, actor. With over twenty albums since the eighties, both solo and with his various associated acts such as Boøwy, he is a very astute and admirable personality. Here we have “Howling” of one of his only albums to ever reach across to American shores, “Electric Samurai”.
